KLF is proud to partner with the East Oakland Boxing Association (EOBA) to help local youth reach their full potential. Through this partnership, KLF provides scholarships year-round, enabling young people to participate in EOBA’s enriching youth programs—which include after-school activities, tutoring, mentoring, athletics, and leadership development.

The East Oakland Boxing Association (EOBA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the holistic development of youth in East Oakland. Since 1987, EOBA has provided a safe haven where children and teens can learn, grow, and thrive through a wide range of programs—including after-school enrichment, academic tutoring, gardening, nutrition education, athletics, and leadership training.
EOBA’s mission goes far beyond boxing; it is about empowering young people to build confidence, develop life skills, and become leaders in their communities. By fostering a nurturing environment and offering meaningful opportunities, EOBA helps youth reach their full potential—academically, physically, and emotionally. Scholarship Spotlight
We’re thrilled to introduce Teresa, a remarkable 12-year-old boxer from Oakland and this year’s KLF-EOBA scholarship recipient. Thanks to the support of our scholarship program, Teresa was able to travel to Missouri and compete in the National Silver Gloves tournament—where she brought home the championship belt! Now a national champion, Teresa’s dedication, talent, and hard work are an inspiration to us all. We’re proud to support her journey and can’t wait to see what she accomplishes next!
