2010 USA Camp

We are bringing our 6 student-athletes and 2 adult chaperones from St. Vincent & the Grenadines to the USA (Orlando, FL) on a 2-week learning tour from July 15 to 31. The first week will focus on basketball as the kids participate in Youth Basketball of America's international basketball camp.

During the second week, we will focus on educational & cultural experiences ranging from academic assessmentsm, etiquette lessons and financial literacy to field trips to the University of Central Florida, Museum of Art and the Kennedy Space Center. Throughout the camp we'll be incorporating fun into our activities, and we will also take the kids to Cirque du Soleil, the movies, Epcott Center and Animal Kingdom.

Throughout the tour, KLF's own Adonal Foyle will be working with the kids individually and as a group to teach them how to improve their focus and work with them to set their goals and develop a plan to attain them. Students will maintain a journal to record their experiences and spend 30 minutes a day reading.

Sponsor a Child
For just $7500, you can give a child the learning experience of a lifetime by enrolling them in our All-Star Student-Athletes Mentorship program. Your tax-deductible donation will cover the cost of mentoring a child throughout the calendar year in St. Vincent & the Grenadines. Mentorship includes personalized academic tutoring, plus a three week-long intensive study trip to the States during the summer. The study trip will cover basketball, classroom learning, college visits, etiquette classes, and cultural experiences such as the theatre, museums, and concerts. Your donation covers all costs ranging from training, textbooks, learning aids, uniforms and sports equipment to international & local travel, food and accommodation (while on the learning tour).
Each child must undergo a rigorous screening process to qualify for participation, and must meet personalized learning milestones to remain in the program.
